Studi  Penyalahgunaan Bahan Kimia Berkhasiat Obat  Dalam Jamu Sesak Napas

Abstract

Abuse of drug chemical substance in jamu sesak napas is not only done in level of Herbal Medicine industry but also in level of retailer. A research has been done to prove the situation. Sample selected from 4 research location (Jombang District, Kediri Town, Semarang City and Surakarta Town). We collecte­d 10 samples purposively each town/district from selected retailer. Out of 40 retailer is obtained 11 jamu sesak napas for checked by drug chemical substance by Thin Layer Chromatography  (TLC).

Result of the research indicate that there are 3 jamu sample which mixed by durg chemical substance by retailer. Way of giving of drug chemical substance in the form of separate (tablet, caplet or capsule) into jamu  for lessening  is aminophylin, prednisone, ephedrine, CTM  and  vitamin B complex. Type drug chemical substance which applied usually more than 1 kinds, there were exist until 4 kinds. This study propose the authority to train retailer and consumer for giving knowledge concerning danger of drug chemical substance. This study suggested the government to regulate and observe drug chemical substan­ce distribution by pharmacies and dispensaries.
